Ensiferum-Ensiferum (2001)

Here we have the debut full-length album from Finland's Ensiferum. This is essentially the album that started them on the path to the greatness they have now achieved within the genre. Solid melodic power metal/death metal, with absolutely infectious, folky riffs and melodies abounding, and both Jari's trademark snarl, as well as his powerful clean vocals. This is an absolute gem, and is highly recommended to all metal fans, and especially to folk metal fans, if you don't have this already... Spinefarm Records.
